In 1992, Steinman launched Active America, the forerunner to North American Journeys, following an 18-year career as co-founder and publisher of City Sports, a six unit chain of regional sports and recreation travel magazines and event production companies. In addition to his duties as president and C.E.O. of www.touroperatorland.com and North American Journeys, Steinman is the Editor-in-Chief of The Inbound Report and The Travel Vertical—as well as chairman of Active America China Summit, E-Tourism Summit, and NAJ’s RTO Summit Series in Los Angeles, New York and Orlando. Steinman has been a member of the board member of the San Francisco SPCA since 2009.
